FUNDING AN ART SHOW IN HONOR OF CARA MIA CIASULLI, TONIGHT AT AIR CONDITIONED LOUNGE

The San Diego art community recently lost one of our brightest when Cara Mia Ciasulli passed away unexpectedly last March. Cara Mia was the force behind Open Arts Collective and some well-attended, well-received group shows at Space 4 Art, including Do Art Daily and the Art of Sound. She pushed people in the community to get to work on their own art and their own shows, and in her honor, those who knew her are working together to create a new art show at Space 4 Art this November in her memory. Because if she were here, she’d probably be working on one right now, if only to create opportunities and inspiration for others.

People in the community have voiced that they’d like to help and be involved, and so this evening, Thursday, June 13th from 6pm to 9pm, there will be fundraiser at Air Conditioned Lounge for the art show. It costs money to throw an art show, and so there will be a suggested donation of $5 at the door, as well as raffles with prizes valuing from $5 to $85 (including CDs, silver jewelry, gift cards for massage, a hair cut, acupuncture treatments and more). Any money raised beyond what is needed to fund this art show will be donated to charity in Cara’s honor.

Come down to North Park and have a drink with us!
