“What are you doing on New Year’s Eve?” The question comes up often these days, whether in polite conversation or in the effort to devise a plan for kissing another year goodbye and celebrating a fresh start. Despite being a frequent topic of conversation, one of the most popular answers seems to be, “I don’t know.”
Well, NYE is just nights away. Scrambling at the last minute to find the just-right way to ring in the new year can make for a stressful, lonely and depressing evening. And it’s completely unnecessary. Our calendar is loaded up with a city full of celebrations at every price point. Regal Beagle’s Mountain Time Zone NYE: All-you-can eat and drink for just $50, celebrating the ball-drop at 11PM so that you can get home safely before everyone else hits the road. Mission Hills
Eleven’s Punk Rock Karaoke: Get up on stage and sing/scream/yell to your favorite punk rock tunes with a live band to back you up, ’cause after some drinks, you always think you sound better than you do. $12. Normal Heights.
Euphoria at the Andaz: A decadent, upscale, black-tie, rooftop party featuring DJ Classixx & more. $150. Gaslamp.
Starlite is having both a prix fixe dinner ($45-$55, includes admission to the party) and a party ($50 advance, $60 at door, includes 3 drinks). DJ Vaughn Avakian will be spinning an eclectic mix of soul, new wave, rock, & funk from 9:30 PM. Mission Hills.
Blind Lady Ale House will be tooting horns and screaming Happy Day at 3:00 pm PST, when the native Belgians will be celebrating their New Year’s turnover, with lots of Belgian beer on tap to celebrate. Open at 11:30 AM for lunch. No cover. Normal Heights.
Tiger!Tiger! will ring in multiple new years as they work their way across the country, celebrating with a $3 beer from each time zone, starting from 8pm and culminating at midnight PST. No Cover. North Park.

This city’s already epic music scene really kicks it up a notch for New Year’s Eve, which looks to be an amazing night for tunes all over town.
