2. Thorn Brewing Barrio Logan
Thorn Street Brewery celebrates five years in North Park this month, but now it’s also got a sister spot (1745 National Ave.) to hit up before the art crawl, or any old afternoon.
See this seafood? It’s just one of many crudo offerings at the new fish market and restaurant located at 57 Degrees wine bar (1735 Hancock St.). There’s also grilled fish, clam chowder, smoked salmon candy, and incredible lobster mac and cheese.
4. Vinyl Junkies
It’s been awhile since South Park had a record shop. Now we get this permanent fixture of the pop up shop and swap that’s been happening at the Casbah the past several years. The monthly swap continues, but now we can browse classic vinyl daily (2235 Fern St.).
5. Winter Cocktails
San Diego’s brand of winter weather means cool cocktails that warm your belly, like this beauty at the Westgate Hotel. Tawny Potion features Calvado apple brandy, Old Tawny port, lemon and cucumber juice, and sherbet.
